Senior Global Marketing Manager at Robeco

Laurens Masereeuw SMP has extensive work experience in marketing and communications roles, with a focus on the financial industry. They began their career in 1987 as a Project Leader for Telefonisch Marktonderzoek at NSS Marktonderzoek. They then worked as a Marketing Research Manager at Esprit Benelux BV, where they were responsible for setting up a Management Information System (MIS) and conducting market research. In 1990, they joined NMB Postbank Groep as a Senior Commercial Researcher.

In 1993, Laurens moved to ING Bank, where they worked as a Project Manager in Marketing Planning and Research & Development. They were involved in leading or participating in multidisciplinary projects and developing marketing plans. They also participated in the start-up team MT2, which later became Vodafone.

From 1996 to 1999, Laurens worked at ING Bank and NN as a Marketing Manager for MKB Punt. They were responsible for setting up an advisory network through a soft-franchise formula and formulating and implementing the marketing strategy.

In 1999, Laurens joined Rabobank International as a Senior Marketing Manager. They then moved to Robeco in 1999, where they held various roles, including Manager Direct Marketing Services and Manager Campaign Management.

At De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Laurens worked as a Lecturer for Event Organization from 2009 to 2012.

Returning to Robeco in 2009, Laurens held several senior roles, including Senior Category Manager Retail Marketing, Senior Communication Manager, and Senior Marketing Manager Global Wholesale. In these roles, Laurens was responsible for various marketing and communication activities, such as producing and implementing multichannel activation campaigns, creating animations for professional investors, and developing online tools and videos.

Currently, Laurens is working at Robeco as a Senior Global Marketing Manager. In this role, they are responsible for the overall B2B marketing strategy in the asset management industry, working closely with sales teams, research teams, and business partners to maintain a strong relationship and extend market leadership.

Throughout their career, Laurens has demonstrated expertise in marketing strategy, campaign management, research, and communication within the financial industry.

Laurens Masereeuw SMP has a diverse education history. In 1972, they graduated from the Caland Lyceum Rotterdam with a VWO degree in VWO - B. Following this, they attended Utrecht University from 1979 to 1986, obtaining a drs degree in Economic Geography.

In 1988, Laurens enrolled at SRM and completed a NIMA B degree in Marketing/Marketing Management, General. They continued their education at SRM in 1991, specializing in Marketing Research on NIMA B level and obtaining a degree called NvvM-B Marktonderzoek.

In 2009, Laurens attended Nyenrode Business University for a Masterclass in Multichannel Management. Later, in 2010, they completed a Coach the Coach program, focusing on coaching techniques. They furthered their skills by studying Business English at NIOW from 2016 to 2017.

In terms of additional certifications, Laurens completed the "Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" course from Google Digital Garage and Google in June 2020.
