Martijn Potters

Martijn Potters' work experience starts in 2010 as an Allround plant nursery employee at Kwekerij Potters. During this role, they grew plants, advised customers, maintained machinery and technical installations, and discovered their passion for building.

In 2012, Martijn joined Van de Kar Elektrotechniek B.V. as an Electrician in training, eventually becoming a Junior hardware engineer. Their main responsibilities included developing software for industrial machinery and installations, programming PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, motion applications, and robotics. Martijn also handled software design, programming, testing, commissioning, documentation, and handover to operations.

Martijn's most recent position is as a Software Engineer at Robeco, starting in 2022. Martijn works on the Investment Front Office Services team, specializing in developing integration solutions and frontend applications. Their main focus is on building REST APIs with Mulesoft Anypoint Platform and web applications using Vue.js.

Martijn Potters has a diverse educational background. Martijn began their education in 2010 at Prinsentuin Breda, where they pursued a MBO degree in Horticulture. From 2013 to 2014, they attended the Dutch government's Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs for Higher General Secondary Education with a focus on the Nature & Technology profile. Moving forward, Martijn studied at Dirksen Opleidingen from 2014 to 2020, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Automation. In 2020, they enrolled in the Open Universiteit for a Pre-master program in Software Engineering, which they completed in 2021. Currently, Martijn is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering at the Open Universiteit, which they expect to complete by 2023. Additionally, in 2022 and 2023, they are specializing in Web Applications: The Client Side as part of their studies at the Open Universiteit.
