Head of Front Office Services at Robeco

Rob van Baalen has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rob started their career as a Project Manager at ASG de Veer from 1997 to 1999. Rob then worked at Robeco, where they held positions such as Sr. System Engineer from 2000 to 2005, IT Product Manager from 2005 to 2007, Global Business Continuity Manager from 2007 to 2010, and Business Alignment Consultant from 2009 to 2015. At Robeco, they were also a Supervisor & Product Owner at Delivery Investments from 2015 to 2019 and later became the Head of Front Office Services with responsibilities including project and team management as well as the development and implementation of corporate and investment management processes and solutions. In addition to their professional career, they worked as an Instructor at Paragliding Holland starting in 2016.

Rob van Baalen attended De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained an Ing degree in Informatica & Informatiekunde. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1999, they obtained the ITIL Foundations certification. In 2004, they earned the IBM AIX 5L System Administration certification. In 2006, they obtained the Prince2 Foundation certification. In 2008, they acquired the Business Continuity Planning certification from DRI international. In 2011, they obtained the Charles River Compliance and Charles River Investment Management certifications from Charles River Development. In 2012, they became a Certified Scrum Master through Zilverline. Finally, in 2017, they obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Prowareness.
