Jun Soriano

Jun Soriano has a diverse work experience in the software development and engineering field. Jun started their career at Amdahl Corporation in 1986, where they worked as a System Design Engineer in the Advanced Console System (ACS) Group. At Amdahl, they designed and developed the Amdahl console's platform element presentation client-server applet and application, and also enhanced, tested, built, and patched customers' problem reports for the Amdahl's mainframe service processors.

In 1999, Soriano joined Compaq as a Software Designer. Jun worked in this role until 2000.

From 2000 to 2015, Soriano worked at Symantec Corporation in various software engineering roles. In the High-Availability Clustering Group (VCSOne/VCS), they co-designed and developed the in-house's Automated Test Execution Engine (ATEE) using Unix and Windows Perl. Jun also wrote automated test cases using Perl and Korn scripts for various VCS agents and was responsible for diskgroup creation, Oracle installation, and configuration of brandz zones and LDOM. In the ServPoint SAN/NAS Appliance Group, they prototyped the appliance's user interface and utilized the SMB/CIFS protocol for shared access.

In 2015, Soriano joined Veritas Technologies Corporation as a Software Development Engineer. Jun worked in this role until 2017.
