Shin Yoon

Shin Yoon is a Senior Software Engineer at Robinhood, contributing to the Software Platform team since July 2021. Previously served as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where work focused on migrating the Online Programming Exercise platform to new infrastructure for collaborative education in technical fields. Shin was part of the InternHacks 2020 cohort at URx, where a browser-based multiplayer game platform project won the “best overall project” award. At StubHub, held various roles including Platform Operations Technical Lead and Platform Engineer, focusing on cloud-native application development and the implementation of GitOps processes. Early career experience includes software engineering roles at Cloudbric, the Ministry of National Defense in the Republic of Korea, and IT support at UC Berkeley. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
