James Scaglia

James Scaglia has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. James started their career as a Customer Care Specialist at the International Speedway Corporation, where they assisted customers and achieved sales targets. James then worked at Daytona Beach International Airport as an Airport Operations Officer, responsible for security and compliance with regulations. Following this, they joined the City of Dallas as an Airport Operations Officer, focusing on regulatory compliance, inspections, and emergency response. James then transitioned to SAIC, where they served as a Remote Pilot Operator, providing air traffic control training for the FAA. James also worked as a Program Management Analyst at SAIC, supporting the FAA's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration Office. James later joined the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller, and subsequently worked as a Consultant at James Scaglia Consulting, using their expertise in rail traffic control to develop safety strategies and training protocols. James then joined Smart1 Management Solutions as a Remote Pilot Operator and is currently working as a VRC Ramp Tower Controller at Robinson Aviation (RVA), Inc. James Scaglia completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Air Traffic Controller from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which they attended from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including Air Traffic Control Tower Operator and LAWRS Limited Aviation Weather Reporting Station from the Federal Aviation Administration in September 2019. In August 2015, James obtained the G-300 - ICS-300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents certification from FEMA. James also received several certifications related to the incident command system and national response framework from FEMA in April 2015. Furthermore, James completed the Airport Training & Safety Institute's levels 1-3 program offered by The American Association of Airport Executives in May 2015.
