Shawna Murphy Butterworth

Shawna Murphy Butterworth is an accomplished cybersecurity leader with extensive experience in infrastructure security and access engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure Security at Roblox since December 2023, Shawna previously held the position of Director of Secure Access Engineering at GitHub from June 2020 to December 2023, where responsibilities included managing Production Security platforms and overseeing corporate identity and access management. Prior to GitHub, Shawna served in various roles at Wells Fargo, including VP Technology Manager and Security Service Manager, focusing on application security and risk management. Shawna's career also includes a stint as a Quality Assurance Director and earlier roles in IT systems and project management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Florida State University and an Associate's degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University.
