Erica Schino

Erica Schino's work experience begins with their current position as a Materials Engineer - Digital Production at Roboze, a company that specializes in 3D printing technologies. In this role, they are responsible for utilizing advanced 3D printers to process super polymers and composite materials for the creation of functional parts used in extreme conditions and sectors.

Prior to their work at Roboze, Erica served as an International Volunteer in Ecuador through the Servizio Civile Nazionale. This experience lasted for a year, from December 2018 to December 2019.

Before that, Erica worked as a Research Intern for their Master's thesis at both the Università degli Studi di Bari and DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Erica'sthesis focused on plasma treatment of micro-patterned polymers for extreme wettability behavior. At both institutions, they performed various tasks such as plasma optimization, analysis through different techniques, micro-fabrication processes, and injection molding.

In addition to their research work, Erica also gained experience as a Waitress at Timeout Steakhouse, a restaurant and pub, where they handled client reception, presented menus, took orders, and organized the mise en place.

During their undergraduate studies at Università degli Studi di Bari, Erica also worked as a research intern for their Bachelor's thesis.

Erica Schino earned a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science from Università degli Studi di Bari from 2011 to 2015. Erica then pursued a Master's degree in Science and Technology of Materials from the same university from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their academic achievements, Erica obtained various certifications including Clean Room's safety course from DTU - Technical University of Denmark in October 2017, English Certificate B1 from the University of Cambridge in June 2017, and a course with certification on working safely in Biological, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical Laboratories from Università degli Studi di Bari in May 2017.
