Bob Finnerty

Bob Finnerty is the Associate Vice President of University Communications at Rochester Institute of Technology. Bob has over two decades of experience in the field of journalism, having worked as a News Assignment Editor for Time Warner's R News and as Metro Editor for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. Bob is a highly skilled editor and reporter, and has won numerous awards for their work. Bob is also an experienced newsroom manager, and has served as Acting Managing Editor for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle on multiple occasions. Bob is a dedicated First Amendment trainer and advocate, and has been instrumental in recruiting many talented journalists to join the Rochester Institute of Technology team.

Bob Finnerty has a B.A. in Communications from Purdue University and an M.S. in Marketing from Rochester Institute of Technology. Bob also has a Master's degree in Marketing from Rochester Institute of Technology.
