Jim Handley

Jim Handley is currently the VP of Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer at Rock Valley College. Jim has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources field. Jim began their career in 1998 as the Director of Purchasing for KB Home. Jim then became the Practice Lead for the National Talent Acquisition Team at Verizon Wireless in 1999. In this role, they led a team of talent acquisition experts that supported all domestic consumer, business, and government Customer Service organizations, as well as Credit, Financial Services and Telesales operations, accounting for nearly one-third of placements globally. In 2019, they joined Rock Valley College as the VP of Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer.

Jim Handley has an MBA from Texas Christian University's M.J. Neeley School of Business, a Bachelor of Arts in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University, and an Associate of Arts in Commerce from Henry Ford College. Jim also has certification from World at Work in CBP, CCP, GRP, and SHRM-SCP.
