Vasily Zhurba has extensive experience as a software engineer, specializing in Scala and Java development. Vasily has worked at various companies, starting with GlobalLogic as a Junior Java Developer in 2008. Vasily then joined Sintez Technologies, where they initially worked as a Java Developer and was later promoted to Java Lead. At Sintez Technologies, Vasily was involved in the development of the MyPractice project, which provided clients with a platform to view submitted claims.
In 2011, Vasily joined Luxoft as a Senior Java Developer, contributing to a connectivity project for a banking system. Vasily'sresponsibilities included implementing XML transformations and creating connectors to communicate with external markets.
Vasily then moved on to Ciklum, where they held the role of Scala Developer. Vasily worked as a Lead developer on the Social Directory project, developing the back-end from scratch. Vasily'stasks included providing RESTful web services, setting up the build process, and ensuring code coverage through unit and integration tests.
Keen Systems, Inc. was Vasily's next venture, where they worked as a Scala Developer. Vasily joined the company's newly created software development team and focused on developing the backend part of a marketplace application for printer companies. Vasily was responsible for developing new functionality, designing and implementing data structures for cache optimization, and improving cache calculation performance.
Vasily later joined Playtech as a Scala Developer, where they worked on Scala development and contributed to various projects until February 2017.
From 2016 to 2019, Vasily worked at Samtrans Skol-& Handikapptransporter AB as a Scala Developer. Vasily worked on projects aimed at enhancing transportation services for disabled schoolchildren and children living in areas without public transport. Notably, they developed a notification system that predicted and notified travelers and responsible contacts about late arrivals. Additionally, they implemented a DARP algorithm to generate minimum cost trip schedules.
Most recently, Vasily joined Nobina Sverige AB in 2019 as a Software Engineer, where they continued their work until March 2020.
Currently, Vasily is employed at Rocker as a Software Engineer, starting from March 2020.
Vasily Zhurba pursued their higher education from 2000 to 2006 at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where they obtained a Master's degree in Intellectual systems of decision making.
