Stefan Eisenknappl

Stefan Eisenknappl has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Stefan is currently working at Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA as the Head of GNC, responsible for the guidance, navigation, and control system development of space vehicles. Prior to this, Stefan worked as a Guidance, Navigation & Control Development Engineer at Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA, where they were involved in all aspects of GNC system and flight dynamics model development.

Before joining Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA, Stefan founded their own company called MISSION ORBIT in 2018. At MISSION ORBIT, they served as Founder.

Stefan also worked as a Development Engineer at Bertrandt from 2018 to 2019, focusing on engineering development. In 2017, they worked as an Engineer at Copenhagen Suborbitals, where they gained experience in the field.

Additionally, Stefan was a Co-Founder at Destination Moon in 2017, where they contributed to the development of a carrier rocket using hybrid propulsion technology. Stefan also worked on various aspects of the rocket's design, such as grain composition, reusability, thrust vector control, and vibration prevention.

Furthermore, Stefan has experience working at RML Spacelab as an Engineer and Trainee, where they developed a prototype flight control system for a suborbital launch vehicle. Stefan also worked as an Engineering Trainee at Copenhagen Suborbitals and as an Engineering Intern at 北华航天工业学院 (Beihua Hangtian Gongye Xueyuan), where they gained knowledge about satellite data acquisition and Chinese work culture.

Stefan started their career as an Engineering Intern at Copenhagen Suborbitals in 2015 and at Engineered Propulsion Systems, Inc. in 2014.

Stefan Eisenknappl completed their education at Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in 2017. Prior to this, they pursued Mechanical Engineering at Technische Universität Dresden, although the specific degree earned is not mentioned. In addition to their formal education, Stefan Eisenknappl also obtained a Private Pilot certification with flight instructor Dick Rutan from the Federal Aviation Administration in September 2014.
