Oliver Samwer

Bachelor’s degree, WHU–Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar. Began Career as Trainee at Sal. Oppenheim. 1999, co-founded Alando in Germany and sold the company to eBay; then became Managing Director eBay Germany, Switzerland and Austria. 2000, co–founded Jamba and sold to VeriSign in 2004. Since 2006, numerous investments, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Groupon, Zalando, Funding Circle, Lazada. 2007, co-founded Rocket Internet. 2014, became CEO and took the company public; Rocket Internet incubates online business models and invests in startups through its venture capital arm Global Founders Capital.
