Mikael Justusson

Mikael Justusson has extensive experience in technical accounting and analysis. Mikael is currently the Senior Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting at Rocket Pharmaceuticals, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Phathom Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Reporting and Technical Accounting from March 2021 to February 2023.

Mikael's previous experience includes working at Bristol Myers Squibb as the Senior Director of Technical Accounting & Analysis from November 2019 to March 2021. Mikael played a key role in supporting the integration of Celgene into Bristol Myers Squibb and provided documentation and presentations on various accounting processes.

Before joining Bristol Myers Squibb, Mikael worked at Celgene for several years in various roles, including Senior Director of Technical Accounting & Analysis, Director of Technical Accounting & Analysis, Associate Director of Technical Accounting & Analysis, and Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & Analysis. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing technical accounting assessments, documenting accounting issues, and managing accounting, valuation, and impairment processes.

Before their tenure at Celgene, Mikael worked at Sithe Energies, Cendant, Bear Stearns, Bloomberg, and SEB in different accounting and financial analyst roles.

Overall, Mikael Justusson has a strong background in technical accounting and has held leadership positions in major pharmaceutical companies.

Mikael Justusson received their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business from the University of Gothenburg, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of New Haven, completing their studies in 1993.

In addition to their academic degrees, Mikael also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1996, they obtained the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). A year later, in 1997, they obtained the Certified Financial Manager (CFM) certification, also from the IMA. In 1999, they earned the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Lastly, in 2005, they obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. In 2006, they obtained the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
