Bernice Plata-Garatti

Bernice Plata-Garatti has extensive experience in emergency management and paramedics, currently serving as a USCG Auxiliary member since February 2017 and as the Rockland County Assistant EMS Coordinator since March 2021. Additional roles include Special Operations at RPS RMC since September 1995 and Paramedic Tactical Team Leader at Rockland Paramedics Services since September 2004. Bernice previously held positions such as Operations Captain at RMC RPS from May 2007 to July 2018 and Medic Station Lieutenant at Rockland Paramedics Service from January 2004 to April 2007. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Emergency Management from the State University of New York Empire State College, with studies ongoing until March 2030, and an AAS in Science from SUNY Westchester Community College.
