Karl Farmer

Karl Farmer, CFA, is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in portfolio management and investment strategies. Currently a Portfolio Manager at Rockland Trust since 2017, Karl manages high-net-worth client portfolios and sets investment policies. Previously, as a Portfolio Manager at Abbot Downing from 2013 to 2016, Karl successfully launched the portfolio management initiative for Wells Fargo's ultra-high-net-worth business in Houston, increasing assets under management from $100 million to $500 million. Karl also held the position of Senior Portfolio Manager at BBVA Compass, managing $300 million in assets for high-net-worth clients, and contributed to a $4 billion asset base as a Portfolio Manager with the Mid Cap Growth Team at Invesco Aim. Early career experience includes roles as an Equity Analyst at Greenlight Capital and an Actuarial Analyst at William M. Mercer, Inc. Karl holds an MBA in Finance/Investment Management from The Wharton School and a BS in Economics/Mathematics from Texas A&M University.
