Amanda B.

Amanda B.'s work experience includes roles in marketing and communications. From 2021 to the present, they have worked as the Marketing & Communications Director at Rockville Economic Development, Inc. (REDI), where they are responsible for developing marketing strategies and content for corporate communications and economic development programs. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2021, they worked as a Marketing/ Business Development Consultant. Amanda also has experience in client services and retail business development as the Client Services Manager and Retail Business Development Specialist at Fresno County EDC from 2017 to 2020. Additionally, they have worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician - Intern at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in 2014, and in various marketing roles at the Tourism Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago from 2006 to 2013, including Marketing Specialist and Destination Information Officer.

Amanda B. completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Spanish at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus in 2010. Amanda then pursued a College Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technician at Centennial College from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, they obtained additional certifications such as Introduction to Economic Development from the International Economic Development Council/California Association for Local Economic Development in 2018, Social Media Marketing from Hootsuite in 2017, Certified Phlebotomy Technician from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in 2016, and Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the Medical Laboratory Professionals' Association of Ontario in 2015.
