Nathan Iyer

Nathan Iyer is a Senior Associate with the US program at RMI. He is designing and building 20 state-level policy simulator tools to support effective subnational climate and energy packages in partnership with Energy Innovation. He also supports the Beyond Carbon analytics work stream.

Nathan spent several years conducting neuroscience drug discovery research at Vanderbilt. His path to RMI began after reading the 1.5°C IPCC report, inspiring him to lead a university-wide movement for 100 percent renewable energy. At Duke, he analyzed state and federal policy briefs and designed a seminar about evidence-based policy.
