Brenda Hawkey

Brenda Hawkey is an experienced human resources professional with a robust background in leadership and mentoring within the field. Currently serving as the Employee Services Team Lead at Rocky View County since June 2007, Brenda focuses on guiding HR Advisors and developing policies that align with legislative and County requirements. Brenda began the HR journey at Rocky View as a contract recruiter in 2007, transitioning to a full-time Human Resources Advisor and eventually becoming Team Lead. Prior experience includes roles as Recruitment Coordinator and Human Resources Secretary at Calgary Laboratory Services from 1998 to 2007, and as an English teacher in South Korea from 1996 to 1998. Brenda holds a BA in General Studies from The University of British Columbia, completed in 1996.
