Els van Dam

Els van Dam is an experienced professional in international humanitarian action, currently serving as a Portfolio Officer for Sudan, South Sudan, and Uganda at Rode Kruis Nederland since February 2021. Previously, Els held the position of Junior Disaster Response Programme Officer at the same organization, and has also contributed to Aflatoun International and KOPIN as a Junior Curriculum Consultant and Project Assistant, respectively. In 2015, Els co-founded and coordinated the Right2Education initiative. Educational qualifications include a NOHA+ Master Degree in International Humanitarian Action from multiple institutions—University of Groningen, German Jordanian University, and University of Malta—along with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Social Sciences from Amsterdam University College.
