Alessandro Barillà

Alessandro Barillà has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Alessandro began their career in 1993 as a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen & Co., where they worked on large projects for prominent Italian companies. Barillà then moved on to Telespazio Brasil, a joint venture between Leonardo and Thales, where they held various roles including Vice President, Country Manager, and Chief Financial Officer. In this position, they were responsible for finance, administration, planning and control, tax, investor relations, and legal matters.

Barillà also served as a Board Member at Telespazio Brasil and later became the Head of the Merger and Acquisition Department at Telespazio S.p.A. Following their tenure at Telespazio, they joined SICES BRASIL S.A. as a Business Consultant and then as the Country Manager for Sices Mexico. Alessandro was responsible for project management and identifying international manufacturers in the photovoltaic solar energy business.

In addition to their roles in the telecom and energy sectors, Barillà has also been involved in advising Italian companies to sell and invest in Brazil as the President and Board Member of Camera Italo-Brasiliana di Commercio e Industria. Alessandro supported the promotion of "Made in Italy" and assisted Brazilian companies in exporting to Europe.

Most recently, Barillà worked at Rodenstock Group as the CFO and Head of Legal, IT, and Human Resources for Rodenstock Brazil. Rodenstock is a leading manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses, and Barillà was responsible for overseeing various departments within the company.

Barillà also served as a Board Member at Venerdì Investments, where they managed the regional portfolio of the Criatec Investment Fund.

Alessandro Barillà's education history begins in 1982 when they attended Liceo Classico Giuseppe Garibaldi in Palermo, Italy. Alessandro pursued Classical Studies and earned a Diploma, completing their studies in 1987. Moving forward, from 1988 to 1993, Barillà attended Università degli Studi di Palermo, focusing on Economics with a specialization in Finance. During the academic year 1991-1992, they also took part in an exchange program at ESC Amiens, where they studied Economics with a concentration in Marketing. Later, in 1995-1996, Barillà pursued an MBA with a specialization in Risk Management and Financial Engineering at San Diego State University.
