Glen Alan Phillips has a diverse work experience in the agricultural and livestock industry. Glen Alan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Rodeo Austin since September 2022, after previously holding the position of Chief Operating Officer from August 2021 to September 2022. Prior to their role at Rodeo Austin, Glen served as the President & CEO of the American Royal Association from April 2019 to July 2021. Glen Alan also has an extensive history with the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, where they held various positions including Chief Strategy Officer from May 2014 to April 2019, Assistant Executive Director from February 2006 to May 2014, and Senior Director of Agriculture Programs & Operations from May 2004 to February 2006. Before joining the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, they worked as the Livestock Director at both the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo from May 2000 to 2004, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo from June 1998 to May 2000. Glen's career began at Texas A&M University, where they worked as a Lecturer from December 1994 to June 1998.
Glen Alan Phillips pursued their education in the field of Animal Sciences. Glen Alan first attended South Plains College from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree. Following this, they enrolled at Texas A&M University, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from 1990 to 1992. Glen went on to further their studies at Angelo State University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Animal Sciences between 1992 and 1994.
In addition to their academic achievements, Glen also obtained a certification in the Executive Development Program from Wharton Executive Education in May 2014.
