Markus M. Hill

Markus M. Hill, MBA has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Markus M. started their career as a reporter and photographer for Rutherford County News, where they covered local news and sports. Markus M. then worked as a Helpdesk technician at Rutherford Regional Health Systems, resolving PC and network issues and assisting with hardware and software configuration. Markus then joined Steelcase as the Director of Technology & Information Services, where they aligned technology initiatives with strategic business goals and implemented communication infrastructure services.

In 2004, Markus became Vice President of Technology at Rodgers Builders, Inc., where they played a crucial role in driving the company's technological advancements and implementing best practices for computer and information processes. Markus M. later transitioned to the role of Chief Information Officer at Rodgers Builders, responsible for achieving the company's overall business goals through technology and leading the strategic vision for technology implementation.

Outside of their corporate roles, Markus contributes their expertise to various organizations. Markus M. serves as the Chair of CharlotteCIO and holds the position of Chair on the North Carolina Leadership Board for the American Lung Association. In these roles, Markus works towards advocating for clean air, lung disease research, and a tobacco-free future.

Markus M. Hill, MBA, obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General from Wake Forest University between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2013 to 2016.
