Chief Creative Officer, Co-founder at Rodgers Townsend

Tom Townsend is a seasoned advertising professional with extensive experience in creative leadership, co-founding Rodgers Townsend in 1996 and serving as Chief Creative Officer since its inception, followed by its acquisition by DDB in 2006. Townsend currently acts as a Marketing Advisor for Open Studio: Jazz Lessons from Jazz Legends and serves as Executive Director for both Pianos for People and Savannah's A-Town Get Down Festival, which honor the legacy of Alex Townsend. Previous roles include Group Creative Director at DMB&B St Louis and Senior Vice President/Group Creative Director at D'Arcy Masius Benton and Bowles. Townsend began a career in advertising as a Creative Director and Writer across several agencies from 1980 to 1997. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Business, English, and Jazz Piano from Duke University, along with an Honorary Doctor of Letters from Savannah College of Art and Design.
