Michele Ela

Michele Ela is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in special education and elementary teaching. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Saranac Elementary School since September 2016 and a 3rd Grade Teacher at Newport Public Schools since December 2014, Michele has also contributed as a Summer Learning Academy Special Education Teacher. Responsibilities include coordinating services for students, preparing adaptive lesson plans, and utilizing technology to enhance learning. Previous roles include PASS Worker at Seven Hills Foundation, Special Education Para Educator and ESY Para Educator at Newport Public Schools, and Substitute Teacher positions across several school districts. Michele holds a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching from Rhode Island College and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Roger Williams University.
