Leigh Lapworth

Leigh Lapworth has over 25 years of experience in computational science and fluid dynamics, currently serving as a member of the UK Exascale Science and Innovation Advisory Board and the EPSRC Science, Engineering and Technology Board at UK Research and Innovation since April 2020. Lapworth is also a Board Member at CFMS and an Honorary Professorial Fellow at the University of Warwick. At Rolls-Royce, Lapworth holds multiple prestigious titles, including Fellow in Computational Science, Head of Computational Sciences, and Engineering Associate Fellow in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), recognized among the technical elite of the company. Additionally, Lapworth has contributed to software development for aerodynamic analysis and design of gas turbines, and has led efforts to form the Computational Science and Engineering group. Lapworth's academic credentials include a BA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Cranfield University.
