Mahmoud Eldefrawy

Co-founder, Chief Medical Officer at Rology

Mahmoud Eldefrawy has a diverse work experience. In 2012, they were a House staff physician at Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt. In 2013, they worked as a General Practitioner at the Ministry of Health and Population- Egypt and as a Branch Manager at Hassab Labs. In 2014, they were a Duty Manager at Andalusia Group for Medical Services, a Radiology Specialist and Radiology Resident at Almadina Scan, and a Resident of Diagnostic Radiology at Minstry of health at Damanhour Medical National Institute & Urology medical Institute. In 2015, they were a Trainee at the Egyptian Board of Radiology. Since 2017, they have been Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Rology, developing and implementing strategies for staff members to meet both short- and long-term goals, leading the quality improvement committee, and leading clinical operations, quality improvement, customer service, productivity, risk management, recruitment, peer review, media coverage and fund raising activities.

Mahmoud Eldefrawy has a diverse educational background. Mahmoud obtained their MBBCH degree from Alexandria University in 2011 after studying Medicine from 2005 to 2011. In 2012, they earned a Health Care and Hospital Management Diploma from The American University in Cairo, where they studied Hospital and Health Care Facilities Administration/Management. Mahmoud then completed a Diagnostic Radiology Fellowship Program at the Egyptian Board of Radiology from 2015 to 2020, and is currently working towards a Fellowship of The Royal College of Radiologists, which they began in 2016. In 2017, they obtained a Startup School Online certification from Y Combinator, and in 2018, they obtained an Occupational English Test certification from OET Romania.
