Dustin Carmack

Dustin Carmack currently serves as Policy Director and Senior Advisor for the Ron DeSantis for President campaign, a position held since May 2023. Prior experience includes roles at The Heritage Foundation as a Research Fellow for Cybersecurity, Intelligence, and Emerging Technologies, and as a Research Fellow in the Center for Technology Policy from March 2021 to April 2023. Previously, Dustin was Chief of Staff to the Director of National Intelligence from May 2020 to January 2021 and held multiple positions in the U.S. House of Representatives, including Chief of Staff to Congressmen John Ratcliffe and Ron DeSantis, as well as Legislative Director. Earlier, Dustin worked as a Legislative Strategist at Heritage Action for America and served in the Heritage Foundation as Deputy Executive Branch Liaison and Legislative Events Coordinator. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Business Administration from Truman State University and some completed coursework towards a Master’s in Middle Eastern History at Tel Aviv University.
