Vahid Khalajzadeh, Ph.D.

Vahid Khalajzadeh, Ph.D. has a strong background in modeling, performance analytics, and thermal design engineering. Vahid is currently working at Rondo Energy as the Manager of Modeling and Performance Analytics. Prior to this role, they worked as a Staff Thermal Design Engineer at the same company. Vahid also served as a Research Scientist at SunEdison Semiconductor, where they conducted MultiPhysics Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations and thermal analysis. Vahid utilized deep learning AI models to analyze data from silicon wafer production and shared their findings with upper management and Research & Development team members. Before joining SunEdison, Vahid worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Iowa, where they developed finite-volume CFD codes to predict melt flow and hydrogen diffusion during metal casting solidification. Vahid also conducted experimental studies on porosity defects in metal castings and utilized image processing techniques to identify surface defects and pore formation mechanisms. In addition, Vahid has experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers, where they analyzed meteorological data to assess wind energy potentials and supported market development and customer communications through presentations and reports.

Vahid Khalajzadeh, Ph.D., acquired their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa. Vahid'seducational journey spanned from 2012 to 2018, during which they focused on Mechanical Engineering. Furthermore, Vahid Khalajzadeh obtained several additional certifications, including "Designing the Organization," "Financial Accounting: Advanced Topics," "Financial Accounting: Foundations," and "Managing the Organization," from Coursera in November 2022.
