Evan Lamberg has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Evan started their career at EMI Music Publishing in 1991, where they served as Executive VP Creative for North America until 2008. During this time, they focused on identifying, signing, and developing songwriters, artists, and music producers. Evan also oversaw the North American executive creative staff and facilitated the acquisition of music catalogs. In 2008, Lamberg joined Gibson Guitar as Exec VP Operations/Global Entertainment Relations until 2009. Evan then moved on to Universal Music Publishing Group, where they have been serving as President of North America since April 2009. Lamberg has held various board member positions, including at the Songwriters Hall of Fame, ASCAP, LOVELOUD, and Carnegie Hall. Since 2018, they have also been President of the Board for the Music, Film & Entertainment Industries Division at City of Hope.
Evan Lamberg has a Bachelor of Music degree from New York University, which they obtained from 1985 to 1987. Evan also holds an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and Queen's School of Business, with a focus on business, finance, and economics, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. Furthermore, they earned a Masters Degree in Major Programme Management from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, from 2011 to 2014.
