Vanessa H.

Vanessa H.'s work experience includes roles at multiple companies in various positions. Vanessa is currently a Project Coordinator at RoomReady, starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Manager at Explore Charter School from July 2018 to August 2022, where they managed school and state testing administration for 200 students. Vanessa also has experience at Sunglass Hut, where they held roles as a Keyholder and Sales Supervisor from 2014 to 2019. In addition, they were a SAMHSA Intern at Diaspora Community Services in 2018 and an Operations Support Intern at Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transportation Operating Authority in 2017. Vanessa also worked as an Intern at Welfare Rights Initiative from 2016 to 2017. Vanessa started their career as a Crew Member - Cashier at McDonald's Corporation from 2010 to 2011.

Vanessa H. has a strong educational background with a focus on social sciences and arts. Vanessa attended Brooklyn High School of The Arts from 2005 to 2009 and obtained a Regents High School Diploma with a field of study in Fine Arts. From 2011 to 2013, Vanessa attended CUNY New York City College of Technology, where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts/African-American Studies. Vanessa later pursued a Bachelor's Degree at Hunter College from 2014 to 2018, specializing in Africana & Puerto Rican/Latino Studies & Psychology.

In addition to their academic degrees, Vanessa has obtained certifications in various areas. In April 2018, they completed the HIV/AIDS Confidentiality Law Overview from the Clinical Education Initiative. In May 2017, they received Mandated Reporter Training from CDHS/ICHP/SUNY Buffalo State. Furthermore, in August 2016, Vanessa acquired both Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid certifications, both provided by the National Council for Behavioral Health.
