Mauricio Rojas has over a decade of experience in education, currently serving as a 5th Grade Teacher at Rosalyn Yalow Charter School since August 2021. Prior to this role, Mauricio was the founding 6th Grade History Teacher at Creo College Preparatory Charter School from July 2019 to June 2021. Experience also includes serving as the Director of School Culture and Family Engagement at EHTP from July 2016 to June 2019 and as Dean of Students at East Harlem Scholars Academies for the 2016-2017 academic year. Earlier in the career, Mauricio taught 1st and 2nd grades at KIPP NYC from June 2011 to June 2016 and worked as an Early Childhood Educator with the NYC Department of Education from 2007 to June 2011. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Early Childhood Teaching from Pace University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame.
