Aleksey Ponomarenko

Aleksey Ponomarenko has extensive experience in international education program management and project administration within the field of atomic energy. At the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom," Aleksey serves as the Head of the International Education Programs Project Office and leads initiatives for global educational programs targeting leaders and professionals in the industry. Previously, Aleksey headed international affairs and cooperation with universities at the Rosatom Corporate Academy, focusing on educational, social, and cultural projects. Aleksey’s earlier roles included Deputy Director at the Peoples Friendship University of Russia, managing scientific research projects in collaboration with federal ministries, and serving as a relationship manager, developing communication with various organizations. Aleksey's academic background includes a PhD in International Economic & Trade from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and a Specialist degree from the Russian State Customs Academy.
