He is a pioneer in the field of medical aesthetics. As Corporate Senior Vice President of Collagen Corporation (President of Collagen Biomedical and Collagen International divisions, now AbbVie/Allergan) Rees created and introduced the first branded medical aesthetics service for injectable collagen. He also held executive positions with Artes Medical (Suneva Medical), Atrix Laboratories (Tolmar, Inc.), Unimed Pharmaceuticals (AbbVie), G.D. Searle (Pfizer) and Miles Laboratories (Bayer).
