Ian Wachters has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ian is currently the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Roseman Labs, a Dutch company that delivers privacy-preserving analytics solutions. Prior to this, they served as an Advisory Board Member at Roseman Labs Virtual Data Lake, where they helped enable organizations to analyze privacy-sensitive data without disclosing it to each other.

Ian has also served as an Advisory Board Member at DuckDuckGoose AI, a deepfake detection startup, and at Nostics, a Dutch company developing rapid test kits for viruses and bacteria. Additionally, they were an Advisory Board Member at Mavin, a company aiming to manage online content and introduce an open impact factor protocol.

In the energy sector, Ian worked as an Advisor to the Board at Sympheny, a company specializing in optimized energy solutions for buildings and districts. Ian was also the CFO & CCO at Oceans of Energy, where they developed a floating PV solar system for offshore conditions.

At BCG, they led the European Pricing Practice and worked extensively in pricing for financial services and B2B industries. Ian also worked with large energy and gas utilities on strategy, operational excellence, and cost reduction.

Before BCG, Ian had roles at Shell Europe Oil Products, where they served as a Marketing Advisor, Marketing and Sales Manager, and IT Application Consultant and Project Leader.

Ian Wachters has a diverse educational background. Ian began their academic journey in 1982 when they attended Stedelijk Lyceum Zutphen. Here, they pursued their VWO degree, which they completed in 1988. Afterward, they enrolled at Delft University of Technology, where they studied Applied Physics from 1988 to 1993. Subsequently, in 2001, Ian briefly attended Universidad de Salamanca to partake in a one-month Spanish course.
