Jonas Egmose has a diverse work experience in academia and research. Jonas started their career as a Project Assistant at The Danish Board of Technology, where they were involved in the organization of a cross-European participative project. Jonas then worked as a Research Assistant at Brunel University, London, contributing to an action research project on citizen science for sustainability. After that, they joined Roskilde University, first as a Teaching Assistant and later as a PhD Fellow, where they successfully defended their thesis for the PhD degree. Jonas continued working at Roskilde University as an Assistant Professor and eventually became an Associate Professor. Currently, they hold the position of Head of the PhD program in Society, Space, and Technology at Roskilde University. Overall, Jonas Egmose has demonstrated expertise and contributions in the fields of participatory technology assessment, citizen science, and society, space, and technology.
Jonas Egmose earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Natural Science Studies from Roskilde University in 2003. Jonas then continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Technological and Socio-Economic Planning in 2007. Afterwards, Jonas pursued a PhD in Social Science, also at Roskilde University, graduating in 2011.
