Simon Lacroix

Director, Hyperconverged Solutions - Processing at Ross Video

Simon Lacroix has a diverse work experience in the field of hardware design and product management. Simon started their career as a Coop Hardware Digital Designer at Matrox Electronic System in 2001, where they worked on the development of a hardware DV codec. Simon also designed various fundamental blocks of the codec using VHDL and created a behavioral C++ model for an HDTV to SD rescaling algorithm.

In 2003, Simon joined Ross Video Limited as a Senior Hardware Designer, where they developed the next generation 3D Warp Processor FPGA for the Ross Warp MD product. This involved working with high-speed DSPs, video processing FPGA, and DDR memory interface. Simon also handled the 8b/10b encoded high-speed serial links for interfacing with the video processing FPGA.

Simon's role then transitioned to a Technical Product Manager at Ross Video in 2010, where they led a world-class engineering team responsible for the development of the Emmy award-winning Opengear platform and related products. Simon coordinated multi-disciplinary efforts to take products from requirements to design and production, managing large and multi-site teams.

Currently, Simon holds the position of Director, Hyperconverged Solutions - Processing at Ross Video. The start date for this role is November 2022, and no end date is provided.
