Siva C

Siva C has extensive experience in the field of software engineering, with a focus on embedded systems. Siva is currently working as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Ross Video, where they specialize in BSP development and live video broadcasting technologies. Siva is experienced in working with Arm-based processors and has expertise in Xilinx FSBL, U-boot, Linux Kernel, Buildroot, and Yocto Linux Distribution. Their role also involves board bring-up, FPGA and CPLD driver development, closed captioning, and platform integration using Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ and Petalinux.

Prior to their current role, Siva worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions for over 5 years. Siva also served as a Software Engineer at BlackBerry QNX, with responsibilities including systems engineering, BB10 battery software development, and PlayBook software development. Siva has also worked at General Dynamics Canada - Vetronics Systems as a Lead Software Engineer, specializing in smart displays.

Earlier in their career, Siva worked at Curtiss Wright Controls as a Software Engineer, focusing on BSP development for Single Board Computers (SBCs) and rugged Gigabit Ethernet switch software. Siva also gained experience at Honeywell Aerospace as a Software Contractor, and at Jedai Broadband Networks as an Embedded Software Engineer.

Siva began their career as a Software Engineer at Sirocco Systems, a start-up that was later acquired by Sycamore Networks. Siva was involved in designing PCMCIA flash disk drivers and programming PLDs for various cards. Siva also handled customer service requests and resolved issues related to core software problems, MIB changes, alarms, and CLI features.

Siva started their professional journey at Nortel Networks as a Co-op student and later worked as a Software Engineer in the OC-192 software development team.

Siva C has an extensive education history focused on engineering and technology. They first attended Carleton University from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics. After a gap in education, they returned to Carleton University in 2007 and completed a Master's degree in Technology Innovation Management in 2008. Siva C continued their education at Carleton University and completed a second Master's degree, this time in Systems and Computer Engineering, from 2009 to 2013.
