David Smith

David Smith is a seasoned professional in the insurance and healthcare sectors, currently serving as Regional Practice Leader for North Carolina and South Carolina at Roundstone Insurance since May 2022, specializing in innovative captive/self-insurance solutions. Prior to this, David held key leadership positions including Senior Director of Employer Solutions at Privia Health and Vice President of Corporate Alliances at the American Diabetes Association, where responsibilities included identifying revenue opportunities and managing corporate relationships. David also served as Vice President of Sales and Account Management at UnitedHealthcare, overseeing operations for the Small Group Division in the Mid-Atlantic along with a team of 60 employees. David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bates College, obtained in 1990.
