Denise Turner has extensive experience in the field of research and insight within the advertising industry. Denise began their career as a Media Research Assistant at Bartle Bogle Hegarty in 1991, where they gained a strong foundation in the advertising business. Denise then moved to Leo Burnett, working as a Broadcast Research/Executive and later as the UK Head of Research. During their time there, they gained exposure to the global advertising scene and developed their expertise in television research. In 1994, Turner joined Zenith Media as a Media Research Manager, where they managed a team and expanded their skills in managing people and working at a media independent company. After two years at Zenith, they returned to Leo Burnett on a part-time basis and eventually left to join MPG Media Contacts as the Head of Insight & Effectiveness in 2000. During their tenure at MPG, they revamped the insight and research function, emphasizing the importance of data investigation and audience understanding. In 2010, Turner joined Havas Media Group as the Managing Partner and Chief Insight Officer, where they continued to advocate for the role of research in shaping company strategy and overseeing culture and training. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Chief Executive of Route Research Ltd. where they are responsible for leading the organization. Throughout their career, Turner has demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a commitment to excellence in research, and active involvement in industry bodies and research requirements.

Denise Turner attended Lurgan College in Lurgan, N. Ireland from 1982 to 1986, where they completed their O and A Levels. Denise then enrolled at Swansea University from 1986 to 1990, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Modern Languages and Business Studies.
