Mr. Trail is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) with over 22 years of experience in all aspects of environmental investigations, including services related to geology, hydrogeology, soil and groundwater characterization, soil and groundwater remediation, underground storage tank (UST) closures, soil vapor investigations, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and Preliminary Assessments.
While he specializes in the New Jersey regulatory environment, he has also worked on numerous investigation and remediation cases in Pennsylvania and New York, with additional experience in Virginia, Massachusetts, Florida, Delaware, and Indiana regulatory environments.
His experience includes investigation and remediation activities with a wide range of contaminants of concern, including petroleum products (gasoline, diesel fuel, No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 heating oils), chlorinated solvents (tetrachloroethene, trichloroethene, and degradation products), historic fill materials, plasticizers, metals, polychlorinated biphenyls, radionucleotides, pesticides, and herbicides.
Mr. Trail has a strong command of the technical regulations associated with New Jersey Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA), New Jersey’s Technical Requirements for Site Remediation, and associated guidance documents. Within the New Jersey regulatory program, he has prepared reports for all stages of regulatory submittal, including Preliminary Assessment (PA), Site Investigation Reports (RIRs), Remedial Investigation Reports (RIRs), Remedial Investigation Workplans (RIWs), Remedial Action Workplans (RAWs), Remedial Action Progress Reports (RAPRs), Site Closure Reports, General Information Notices (GINs), Classification Exception Areas (CEAs), and engineering and institutional controls.
