Eddie Carlson

Eddie Carlson is a seasoned data engineer with extensive experience in software development and engineering roles across various companies. Currently, Eddie serves as a Senior Data Engineer at Rover.com since July 2021. Prior to this, Eddie worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Socrata from July 2018 to June 2021 and as a Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services from June 2016 to November 2017, where contributions included the development of an IoT Rules Engine in Scala. Earlier experience includes roles at Whitepages, where Eddie focused on Scala development and back-end services, and an internship at Apptio, where Eddie developed a purger to enhance database efficiency. Eddie's background also includes academic experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington and entry-level roles in data validation and mechanical engineering. Eddie holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Washington, earned in 2011.
