Jorge Ramírez Carrasco

Jorge Ramírez Carrasco has extensive work experience in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Jorge is currently serving as the Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Rovio Entertainment Corporation, where they lead the research and development of Generative AI products and enhances game performance through ML-based solutions. Prior to this role, Jorge worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Rovio, focusing on game experience personalization and game team operations optimization.

Before joining Rovio, Jorge worked at EY as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the Global Artificial Intelligence Labs, where they designed and deployed AI-based products for international projects. Jorge also led technical teams and presented to clients. Jorge previously held the role of Machine Learning Engineer at wavespace™, where they developed innovative data-driven and Big Data solutions for international projects.

Jorge's earlier experience includes working as a Co-founder at MiEscaparate Applications, where they were responsible for data acquisition, analysis, and server technology development. Jorge also handled company administration, public presentations, and business development.

Jorge began their career as a Software Engineer at S21sec and served as an intern. Jorge also completed an internship at the Center for Open Middleware.

Throughout their career, Jorge has acquired a strong skill set in programming languages such as Python, Java, and NodeJS. Jorge is proficient in various tools and technologies including Azure DevOps, Docker, Git, Pandas, SQL, PyTorch, and reinforcement learning.

Jorge Ramírez Carrasco holds a Master of Science in Telecommunication Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, obtained in the years 2016-2018. Prior to that, they completed a Master in Telecommunication Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2015-2018, specializing in Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones. Jorge also obtained a Degree in Engineering Technology and Telecommunication Services from the same university in the years 2011-2015, with a focus on IT. In terms of certifications, Jorge holds the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance, achieved in October 2020. Additionally, they have completed various online courses on topics such as Machine Learning, Docker, Apache Spark, and Deep Learning. Jorge also achieved the TOEFL iBT with a score of 96/120 in February 2015. In 2012, they obtained the First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge.
