Timo Similä

Timo Similä has a strong background in data science and analytics. Timo is currently the Director of Analytics for the Puzzle Game Studio at Rovio Entertainment Corporation. From 2019 to 2022, they held the position of Director of Data Science at Seriously Digital Entertainment, where they played a crucial role in optimizing player experience through behavioral analytics. Prior to that, Timo was the Head of Data Science at Nokia and Comptel, where they led global data science teams and worked on advanced analytics projects. Timo also had experience in product development, technical sales, and academia, having worked at Xtract and Helsinki University of Technology.

Timo Similä completed their Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan. Timo later obtained a Doctor of Science degree from the same institution. Timo also attended Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development in 2016, as well as Hanken & SSE Executive Education from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they had a brief period of study at the Finnish Defence Forces.
