Project Engineer at RoviSys

Marcus Owyong Tat Wei has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Project Engineer at RoviSys since July 2022. In this role, they are responsible for translating functional requirements to system configuration, designing control systems' network architectures and control strategies, and advising clients on technical options.

Prior to their current position, Marcus was a Lead System Engineer at RoviSys starting from July 2021. Before that, they worked as a System Engineer at the same company from July 2019, where they were involved in super confidential Data Centers projects both locally and overseas. Their responsibilities included conducting FAT, SAT, and T&C with customers, vendors, and suppliers, as well as developing and editing PLC codes and HMI graphics.

Before joining RoviSys, Marcus worked as a Freelance Trainer at Singapore Sports Hub from March 2016 to July 2019. MARCUS OWYONG also gained experience as an Installed Base Marketing, Field Services Operational Marketing Intern at Schneider Electric from January 2018 to August 2018, where they designed and implemented marketing campaigns and collected and analyzed customer portfolio benchmark information.

Additionally, Marcus has worked as a Brand Ambassador for various companies including KKday in February 2018, Goldlion from May 2017 to July 2017, Skechers from August 2016 to April 2017, and Samsung Electronics America from August 2016 to October 2016.

Marcus Owyong Tat Wei attended Ngee Ann Polytechnic from 2011 to 2014, where they pursued a Diploma in Electronic & Computer Engineering, specializing in Computer & Mobile Technology. MARCUS OWYONG then enrolled at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 2016 to 2019, majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Infocommunication Engineering. In 2017, they participated in an exchange program at Hanyang University. Additionally, Marcus obtained additional certifications including CSI AVEVA Application Server 2020 R2 Exam from AVEVA in January 2023, and various certifications from LinkedIn such as Construction Management: Reading Drawings & Specifications, Electrical Systems: Reading Drawings and Schematics, Learning Python, and PLC Ladder Logic Essential Training, all obtained in January 2021.
