Deirdre Kelly

Deirdre Kelly is a distinguished author and journalist with extensive experience in the arts and education sectors. Currently serving as an author for Sutherland House Books, Deirdre's works include "Fashioning the Beatles" and "Ballerina: Sex, Scandal and Suffering Behind the Symbol of Perfection." In addition, Deirdre holds the position of Editor In Chief for The York University Magazine, recognized as the best digital magazine globally in post-secondary education. As a critic and features writer for Critics at Large, Deirdre's award-winning reviews span dance, theatre, fashion, and literature. With a long-standing commitment to the arts, Deirdre also writes for various publications including the Royal Academy of Dance and Dance Media Publications. Deirdre’s previous role at The Globe and Mail involved a range of coverage from dance and arts to real estate and business reporting. Deirdre's academic background includes a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
