Sean Jiang

Sean Jiang is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in architecture and engineering within the banking sector. Currently serving as the Director of Architecture and Engineering Core and Real-time Payments at RBC since January 2019, Sean is focused on modernizing payment architecture through cloud-native and reactive systems. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Scotiabank, where Sean held various director-level roles, leading an API management team and overseeing architecture initiatives for international banking. Sean's earlier career includes positions at Workbrain, EDITek Consultants, BEA Systems, and Sun Microsystems, where expertise in software development and system architecture was cultivated. Sean holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Anhui Normal University.
