Tobias Coetzee

Tobias Coetzee is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at RBC, Tobias is instrumental in establishing efficient engineering practices and fostering a collaborative engineering culture. Previous positions at RBC include Director of Developer Experience and Director of Engineering Transformation, where responsibility centered around promoting InnerSource assets, enhancing platform technology leadership, and improving development processes. Prior roles at BBD, Realyst, and Profin provided Tobias with a solid foundation in software development, architecture, and team management. Tobias holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Software Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and a National Diploma in Information Technology from the Central University of Technology, Free State.
