Marie Briggs

Marie Briggs is a Senior Curator-Botanist in the Asia Team of the Science Directorate at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, with experience spanning from January 2005 to the present. Prior roles at Kew include Senior Curator-Botanist, Botanist for the South East Asia & Pacific Regional Team, Assistant Botanist for the Rubiaceae Systematic Team, and Digitising Officer for the African Plants Initiative. Previously, Marie Briggs held the position of Digitising Officer for the African Plants Initiative at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh for a brief period in late 2004. Academically, Marie Briggs earned an MSc in Plant Taxonomy & Biodiversity from The University of Edinburgh and a degree in Tropical Environmental Science with a focus on Ecology from the University of Aberdeen.
