Cato Barend Van Schalkwyk

Cato Barend van Schalkwyk is an experienced educator and creative professional currently serving as an Associate Lecturer at the Royal College of Art since September 2019. Prior to this role, Cato held the position of Creative Director at ToDoodle Design from January 2015 to September 2019 and worked as a Content Designer for Lloyds Banking Group from July 2012 to January 2015. Earlier experience includes serving as a Content Manager at Serco from 2008 to 2011. Cato holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Honours Degree in English Literature, with a focus on African Literature, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government and English Literature, both obtained from Stellenbosch University.
